Education

I will graduate from Purdue University with a mathematics degree in May 2012. I have many courses in teaching methods and philosophy. I have taken six Spanish language courses at Purdue.

Experience

In the past I have done short-term tutoring for algebra/pre-algebra, geometry, high school calculus (calc 1), and algebra II. I have also tutored in English as a second language, specifically for native Spanish speakers. I specifically enjoy helping with homework or test prep, where the student has specific problems to work through. Otherwise, I can explain basic concepts and give practice problems to work through. I really like to work through a lot of examples because without practice it can be difficult to apply.
